Summary of the EDT CoP on 10th November.
Our focus was on Developing Extra-Dependent Teams and I shared a model of knowledge creation by Nonaka and Takeuchi which combined Tacit and Explicit knowledge types.
We grappled in two small groups around challenges and successes with developing Extra-Dependent Teams. And as we did so, we reflected on which combination of knowledge creation we were using.
Takeaways from people included:
We don't even know we are learning sometimes, like the notion of role-modelling - yet we are through socialisation I always learn something when we get together as a community of practice I was mainly sharing explicit knowledge (combination), but I feel like we could move up a level by being more curious and asking more questions - to elicit deeper insights I was aware I was taking notes of other people's explicit knowledge, yet still trying to work out what it meant for me (internalisation) I was perhaps doing a bit of internalisation and externalisation during our discussion
